Project titleCreation of two schools of agriculture in the Gaza area in Mozambique
Chinhacanine, Combomune (Malabane), province of Gaza, Mozambique
Mozambique has suffered 20 years of turmoil. An entire generation has been deprived of decent educational conditions. An important number of professional skills have disappeared. Agriculture being the main economic activity, it is also essential to guarantee the food safety of the country.
About the project
By creating alternating schools of agriculture in the Gaza area, we allow the young people to acquire skills essential for the country’s economy. The alternating pedagogy whereby the students go to school for 15 days and practice on the family farm under the supervision of an agricultural counsellor, also leads to the improvement of agricultural practices in the students’ families.
The 2 new schools function associatively and are part of a nationally coordinated network of 16 schools which all benefit from an organizational and pedagogic support.
